VIDEO: TRANSPORT SAFETY FOR CHILDREN

DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORT, OFFICE OF TRANSPORT SAFETY COOPERATING WITH DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS FOR PRODUCE VIDEO OF “TRANSPORT SAFETY FOR CHILDREN”

In order to raising social awareness and self-awareness of traffic safety, reduce traffic congestions in peak hours, and disseminate the significance of traffic safety for children; Danang Department of Transport, Office of Transport Safety have collaborated with Department of Information and Communications to produce a video on “Traffic Safety for Children”.

Video is available on official websites of different Danang government departments and on public buses until the March 2019.

Below are some tips to ensure children’s traffic safety mentioned in the video:

 

1. Travel on the right land, walk on the sidewalk:

 

2. Do not cross the street median, use pedestrian crossing road.

Always wear helmet while driving: Always wear helmets for your children while driving motorbikes, scooters, electric bikes, bikes… The helmet should be qualified and strap should be fastened correctly. Moreover, safety belt should be used if the child is under 5 years old or unable to sit firmly

 

6. Do not park in front of school gate

For students’ safety, parents should drop-off and pick-up their children at least 50 m from school gate.

Conclusion: Ensure traffic safety for children is universal social responsibility. Thus, we hope that not only parents but adults and children themselves in general would be more responsible while take part in the traffic, contributing to a friendlier place for everyone in our society.
